Enhanced Report Constructor
The Report Constructor now allows multiple reference values to be linked together. For example, the reference value maximum wait time can be combined with call duration.
In the illustration, the number of calls is set up as a column that relates to three reference values: total call time, talk time, and connected time. In this case, the column would display the number of calls that meet specific criteria, such as a minimum/maximum call duration of XX seconds/minutes/hours, a minimum/maximum talk time of XX seconds/minutes/hours, and a minimum/maximum connected time of XX seconds/minutes/hours.
All reference values can also be defined as between specific ranges, for example, talk time between 10-20 seconds/minutes/hours.
Expansion of Hotkeys
The Clarity Communication Client allows users to set custom key combinations, commonly known as hotkeys, for various actions. A frequently requested feature from our customers was the ability to use hotkeys in the web client. This will be possible in the upcoming version.
Web client users will soon be able to highlight phone numbers from third-party sources—such as an Excel list or a website—and dial them directly. This significantly enhances user convenience.
In the next newsletter, you will learn more about individual call forwarding settings for different break reasons. Additionally, you can look forward to the new release, scheduled for spring 2024, which will introduce even more exciting and innovative features.
New Reference Metric
Queries
Previously, specially created queries were automatically sent to the administrator via email. With the new Report Constructor functionality, administrators can now independently access the results of their queries. This enhancement integrates queries directly into the system, enabling easy management.
SRTP Protocol
The Clarity Softphone supports SRTP, the highest standard for data security in real-time transmission. The Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP) is a security protocol designed specifically for the secure transmission of real-time data such as voice and video streams. It extends the basic Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP), which is commonly used for transmitting multimedia data over networks.
SRTP is widely used in applications such as Voice over IP (VoIP), video conferencing, and other real-time communication services, where data security is a key concern. It ensures that confidential information remains protected during transmission and cannot be intercepted or tampered with by unauthorized parties.
Favorites Folder
Previously, users could save their contacts in a single favorites folder within the client. Based on popular demand, the latest version of the Windows client now allows the creation of multiple favorites folders. This feature further simplifies daily use and enables a more customized experience.

New Features in the Windows Client
The highly valued offline mode is now also available in the Windows Client. Users can continue their work and stay productive while their presence information remains hidden from others. Thanks to offline mode, users can maintain their workflow seamlessly, eliminating unwanted interruptions and productivity losses.
The enhanced call forwarding menu, which was extensively detailed in the last newsletter, is now also available in the Windows Client. This update makes call management even more flexible and efficient, allowing users to set additional forwarding targets for both internal and external calls. This feature enables more precise control over call routing.

New to the Market: Snom SP800
The SP800 is the ideal solution for companies looking to connect their employees via Remote Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) or a soft client through the cloud.
This setup is particularly common in call centers or environments where staff work remotely and typically log into the company’s mainframe or terminal server environment using a soft client. Industries such as banking, insurance, and public administration frequently rely on this solution due to its high level of security against external misuse.
However, this security comes with a major drawback: limited processing power often results in poor voice quality. This is where the SP800 makes a difference. Equipped with the D862 desk phone technology, it guarantees crystal-clear audio quality while still meeting strict security requirements. Thanks to its sleek design, the SP800 can be conveniently placed on or under the employee’s desk.
