Communication Center
Enhanced Report Constructor
The Report Constructor now allows multiple reference metrics to be linked together. For example, the metric “maximum wait time” can be linked with the metric “talk time.”
In the illustration, for example, the number of calls is set up as a column, which refers to three reference values. The reference values here would be the total call time, the talk time, and the connected time. In this case, the column would show the number of calls that meet a minimum/maximum call time of XX seconds/minutes/hours, a minimum/maximum talk time of XX seconds/minutes/hours, and a minimum/maximum connected time of XX seconds/minutes/hours. All reference metrics can also be defined as “between,” for instance, “with a talk time between 10-20 seconds/minutes/hours.”
Expansion of Hotkeys
The Clarity Communication Client offers the ability to set custom keyboard shortcuts, often referred to as hotkeys, for various actions. It has been a frequently expressed customer request that hotkeys be usable in the web client as well. This will be the case in a future version. Users of the web client will then be able to highlight phone numbers from a third medium—such as an Excel list or a website—and dial directly. This significantly enhances user convenience.
In the next newsletter, you will learn more about the individual call forwarding changes for various break reasons. Additionally, you can look forward to the new release, which will be launched in spring 2024. More exciting and new functionalities are on the way!
New Reference Point
Queries
The previous process involved specially created queries being automatically sent via email to the administrator. With the new functionality of the Report Constructor, administrators can now independently access the results of their queries. This enhancement integrates the queries directly into the system, allowing for easy management.
SRTP protocol
The Clarity Softphone supports SRTP, the highest standard of data security in real-time transmission. The SRTP protocol (Secure Real-time Transport Protocol) is a security protocol that was specially developed for the secure transmission of real-time data such as voice and video transmissions. It extends the basic Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP), which is often used for the transmission of multimedia data over networks. SRTP is widely used in applications such as Voice over IP (VoIP), video conferencing and other real-time communication services where the security of the transmitted data plays an important role. It ensures that confidential information is protected during transmission and cannot be intercepted or manipulated by unauthorized persons.
Favorites folder
Previously, users could save their own contacts from the client in a favorites folder. In response to many customer requests, it is now also possible to create several favorites folders in the latest version of the Windows client. This will further simplify daily and customized use.
Updates in the Windows Client
The highly appreciated offline mode is now available in the Windows Client. Users can continue their work and stay productive while keeping their presence information hidden from others. Thanks to offline mode, users can maintain their workflow seamlessly, avoiding disruptions and productivity losses.
The enhanced forwarding menu, described in detail in the last newsletter, is now also available in the Windows Client. Call management has become even more flexible and efficient, allowing users to set additional forwarding destinations for internal and external calls. This feature enables greater precision in determining where calls should be directed.

New to the market: Snom SP800
SP800 is the ideal solution for all companies that want to connect their employees via Remote Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) or a soft client via the cloud.
This is particularly common in call centers or wherever staff work remotely and typically log into the company’s mainframe/terminal server environment via a soft client. Banks, insurance companies and public administrations in particular very often rely on this solution, as it offers a high level of protection against external misuse. However, this security has a decisive disadvantage: due to the low computing power, voice transmission is often of poor quality. This is where the SP800 comes into play: with the features of a D862 desk phone, it guarantees perfect audio quality while still meeting security requirements. Thanks to its slim design, the SP800 can easily be placed on or under the employee’s desk.
If you are interested in the SP800, please contact us by telephone on +49 6172 1388-560 or by e-mail at vertriebsinnendienst@clarity-ag.net.
Innovative Idea: KeyOne
At KeyOne, the focus is not only on convenience, but also on data security. You no longer have to register with every online store to be able to order quickly. Instead, you can simply shop as a guest with a freely selectable alphanumeric key that is just seven characters long and complete the checkout process faster than ever before. Your data is also secure and not scattered across countless online retailers, but protected centrally by the German company KeyOne. This significantly reduces the risk of personal and sensitive data being disclosed.
